After being exposed to a bizarre mixture of household chemicals, Pat Kramer begins to shrink. This baffles scientists, makes parenting difficult, warms the hearts of Americans, and captures the attention of a group of people who want to take over the world. - THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING WOMAN is a US sci-fi comedy about a housewife who becomes a media sensation after shrinking to a minuscule size. Language: There is a single use of 'shit' and a rude middle finger gesture. Sex: Sex references include the name proposed for a new brand of perfume, 'Sex Pot', and several allusions to the main character's husband's frustration at the state of their sex life. There is also a passing drug reference when one character makes a remark about 'dope'.

Everyone starts crying and mourning her, and even though she returns in the end, this scene is rather sad. Pat, Sydney and Rob are all running from the police, and although it's played for laughs, young/sensitive viewers may find it intense.
