DEADBEAT AT DAWN is a US drama, from 1988, in which a gang member seeks revenge on a rival for the murder of his girlfriend. Violence: A gang member kills another with multiple rapid stabs to the gut. A man bites off another's finger and spits it into his face. There are regular moments of strong violence using fists, guns, martial arts weapons and knives, often with bloody detail. A man punches his girlfriend's face when she tells him she is pregnant. Injury detail: A gang member rips open another's throat and pulls out his windpipe. A man has a vision of another man digging a finger into the brain of his girlfriend's corpse. Injuries spurt jets of blood. A gang member sexually assaults the girlfriend of a rival, holding a knife to her face while trying to undress her. There is brief sight of explicit pornographic images.
