THE LEECH WOMAN is a science fiction horror film about a doctor and his wife, who travel together to Africa seeking a drug that will restore their youth. Violence: Several people are killed by having the back of their neck punctured with a ceremonial ring to provide the blood for a rejuvenation ceremony. A woman is briefly choked by a man she tries to kill. There is sight of a wizened woman lying dead amongst shards of glass on a terrace. Discrimination: Dated racial stereotyping is seen in the portrayal of African tribes people as savages with spears and shields, practising voodoo magic.
