After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, Singer rapidly falls apart as the world and people around him morph and twist into disturbing images. His girlfriend, Jezzie, and ex-wife, Sarah, try to help, but to little avail. Even Singer's chiropractor friend, Louis, fails to reach him as he descends into madness. A couple is talking in bed and the woman's breasts are shown for an extended period of time. At the party, there is a pair who is intensely making out. In one of the scenes where Jacob is hallucinating , woman is shown breastfeeding a (fake?) baby. Some sexually explicit in the beginning of the movie, references to masturbation, and male genitalia A man gets undressed and takes a shower; his buttocks can briefly be seen through the translucent shower curtain, but not his penis. A woman gets in with him, the side of her breasts are shown. As a woman gets dressed, her breasts are exposed for several minutes. As Jacob is put in a bath by Jezzie, she takes off his underpants, showing his buttocks for a few seconds. There is a scene at a party where a woman is having intercourse with a demon, however this act is never shown in detail, plus the scene is very hard to see, the only thing visible is the woman's pleasured face. However, parts of the demon can be seen, lingerie of a woman, and tentacles which are on woman's private parts.

Nearly whole movie is intense. The entire movie has a creepy and surreal atmosphere. Demon appearances might be scary for some people A man is chased by car. The scene is very unexpected and it comes out of nowhere. The scene where man is being wheeled through gore filled mental institution is very scary. Lots of intense scenes with demons haunting a man The movie is rather disturbing. The ending is very creepy and disturbing The opening sequences may disturb some people It is implied that main protagonist's young son was killed in the accident, even though his death is completely off screen, it is still very sad. The ending is rather sad and depressing. Jacob suffers from intense grief and guilt throughout the entire movie. A man nearly gets hit by the train, but survives. He also sees demons inside watching him, an intense and scary scene.
