Frightening & Intense Scenes
Frightening & Intense Scenes Reason
Edward is creepy-looking but he turns out to be harmless, gentle and likeable.
Overall, despite the creepy but wonderful imagery and some sad moments, this film is suitable for all ages.
Edward has a flashback where the inventor dies in front of him from natural causes. This scene can make viewers cry.
Edward gets tricked by Jim by locking him in his house as Jim and his friend including Kim escape. He struggles to get out. The police arrive and the doors become unlocked. He comes out of the house and is told to put his hands up so he does. The police think he is holding weapons and threatens him to shoot fire but is save by the neighbours. He then gets arrested.
The scene where Edward is tricked into robbery is very emotional and will leave audiences feel more devastated.
The appearance of the title character himself may be frightening to some viewers, as he appears as a young man with pale, scarred skin and scissor blades for fingers. Also, speaking of the fingers of his hands, this can even also remind some of Freddy Krueger from the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise because of his clawed glove, which could make Edward even more frightening for some but he is portrayed as a very likeable character.
Some parts of story can be quite intense for some viewers because of the way Edward is treated, especially in the climax of the film. The old mansion Edward lived in can be creepy.
The ending is very sad, even reaching the depressing state to some audience members.
