TOTAL RECALL is a sci-fi action adventure from 1990, in which a man takes a 'virtual holiday' to Mars with unforeseen consequences. Language: There is use of strong language ('f**k'). Violence: Scenes include gunfights, stabbings and impalings with resulting bloody injury detail. In one sequence a man's arms are cut off by an elevator platform, resulting in gory detail. There are moderate sex references and a scene in which a mutant prostitute exposes her three breasts. In sequence a fish tank is smashed with resultant sight of fish flapping on the floor, although there is no evidence that the fish were cruelly treated by the filmmakers.

A woman wears a tight leotard and tube top while working out. Prostitutes are seen in revealing clothing in multiple scenes. A flyer for a brothel is clearly seen up close a couple times. The flyer shows a large black and white illustration showing a fully naked woman with prominent red nipples, as well as a red star over her genitals. The same image is clearly seen on the wall of the brothel twice. A woman is laying in bed wearing a short nightgown. She pretend fights with her husband a few times and you can see her gown open up and her naked boob swinging around in her shirt a few times. You can see her nipple each time but it's dark and pretty hard to see. Her husband then flips her over and there's a brief flash of her crotch, but she's wearing panties. A man a woman play-fight in bed; You can see one of her nipples from the side in one shot. A woman pulls the straps from her leotard off of her shoulders and wraps them around her wrists, inviting a man to have sex with her while she is tied up by the straps (no nudity). A mutant prostitute bares her three prosthetic breasts during three scenes; In one of these scenes, a man squeezes and rubs them. Prosthetic breasts and nipples clearly seen up close all three times. One of the main characters is a prostitute, but is never shown displaying her trade. A man says, "....you get to f*** her every night". A woman touches a man's penis (no nudity.) We see a CGI graphic model of female in the monitor no nudity but suggestive.

Frightening & Intense Scenes Reason

The movie can be very intense and suspenseful. Just like RoboCop, despite being very bloody and gory, it does have some humor. Film contains graphic violence with some very Bloody shootouts, a few stabbings, space decompression, and an arm dismemberment. The elevator scene may be shocking to some, despite being a little over-the-top. Restrained characters are seen screaming in pain as they try to resist a memory-altering process. A man has a large tracking device embedded in his skull, which he pulls out painfully through his nose using a mechanical tool. Several mutants have grotesquely distorted faces, and one baby-like mutant is part of another man's abdomen. Characters are occasionally shown being subjected to Mars' toxic atmosphere; this causes their faces to swell up, eyes to bulge and nearly pop out, and their bodies to start turning inside out, with gory results. Very intense and disturbing.
