Frightening & Intense Scenes
Frightening & Intense Scenes Reason
3 seamen trapped inside a flooded sub's compartment that has been sealed by a fellow sailor. The three are seen floating and drowned. There are two scenes where torpedoes are launched at the submarine, nearly hitting it. The film includes a scene of the submarine sinking after losing power during a battle with a Russian submarine. There is a prolonged scene of the crew trying to repair the submarine before it reaches crush depth. This includes a crew member having to shut others inside a flooding compartment under orders. He is shown to be under emotional duress and the crew members inside the compartment drown. The entire sequence is prolonged and very tense. Some of the cussing is abrupt and pronounced, this may disturb younger children. The threat of nuclear warfare is constant throughout the film. War footage of Chechnya shown, with the aftermath of civilians being bombed. A man on exam table after a heart attack, gets a few electric shocks using a defibrillator. He is then given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but eventually declared is dead. There's a large standoff with guns in the command room on a submarine.
