BBFC Ratings info
THE DOORS is a biographical drama charting the career of the band and the ascent and decline of their lead singer, Jim Morrison. Drugs: There are scenes of drug misuse throughout, including cocaine, LSD, peyote and marijuana. There are brief war images of real dead bodies, including those of children. There is strong language throughout ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), and strong verbal and visual sex references. There is also strong sex and nudity, including a scene in which a man and woman, who have both used cocaine, perform a ceremony in which they drink blood drawn from their wrists and collected in a goblet, then resume intercourse. There are also scenes of violence. This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.

Sex & Nudity
Sex & Nudity Reason
There is a short scene where Jim is shown in an elevator as the camera pans down to see a topless woman at Morrison's crotch(impliying an act of oral sex) A woman is seen from behind running to an elevator naked. Her butt is shown. Strong Sex scenes and nudity, but somehow male nudity is avoided. Jim and a women cut each others hands, then proceed to have graphic sex when he gets on top of her, and begins to thrust her, this scene is brief Multiple scenes with topless women, including full-frontal nude women. Some female nudity is shown in the background of their concerts. Jim Morison has sex with women. No nudity in these scenes just mild thrusting under sheets

Violence & Gore
Violence & Gore Reason
There is a scene where a woman cuts herself and then cuts Jim Morrison, a fair amount of blood seeps out and then is put into a cup and drank by them. People fight and argue. A woman is locked in a closet and it is set on fire. A deers foot is seen on a stick in one scene. There is a scene involving dead Indians with blood on their faces and mouths. Jim Morrison is sprayed with pepper spray. His face turns red. There are scenes where Jim Morrison talks about killing his father. A man crashes his car into a police car.

Profanity Reason
Several uses of the F-Word

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking Reason
There are a lot of scenes depicting drug use such as LSD, cocaine, peyote, and pot. A lot of discussion about drugs. In many scenes Jim Morrison is obviously high on drugs or is drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
Frightening & Intense Scenes Reason
There are many scenes that play out like an odyssey. So while it's not particularly frightening it can be very surreal and uncomfortable at times. Not many frightening/intense scenes. But the most intense scene would be when Pamela Morrison is locked in a closet and Jim sets it on fire.
